A STF Special Subject Council, the SDA is a professional development resource to Drama educators in the province. SDA organizes school drama festivals and theatre workshops. It has a lending library for members that is an excellent source for scripts. The SDA also offers intensive workshops for play development and has a list of resource people in communities throughout the province.

The SNTC works to promote aboriginal culture and young aboriginal artists. Based out of Saskatoon, the SNTC has been successful at reintroducing the performing in a number of Saskatchewan Communities.
