Community Theatre Inc. The Saskatchewan Drama Association A STF Special Subject Council, the SDA is a professional development resource to Drama educators in the province. SDA organizes school drama festivals and theatre workshops. It has a lending library for members that is an excellent source for scripts. The SDA also offers intensive workshops for play development and has a list of resource people in communities throughout the province. Saskatchewan Express Sask. Express is a touring musical theatre group that students can audition for. Look at the information in the auditions page of the site to see what an audition will be like.
Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company The SNTC works to promote aboriginal culture and young aboriginal artists. Based out of Saskatoon, the SNTC has been successful at reintroducing the performing in a number of Saskatchewan Communities. Shakespeare
on the Saskatchewan Festival Inc. Volunteering to work at the festival is a great way for students to gain exposure to drama and to the workings of a theatre company. Twenty-fifth
Street Theatre Center Home of the Saskatoon Fringe Festival and the Her-icane Arts Festival, 25th Street offers good opportunities for students to see theatre and volunteer as part of a theatre community. University
of Regina - Faculty of Education, Arts Education The Department focusses on a broad experience in the Arts, and it's role in the community. The Faculty organizes "Off Campus Residential Experiences" which takes students all over the province to explore the arts in both schools and the community. University
of Regina - Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts The Department partners with the SDA to offer workshops for both students and teachers in conjunction with the Provincial Drama Festival and also offers tours. The
University of Saskatchewan - Department of Drama The Department has hosted free tours for high school drama classes, and fourth year students will come as guest speakers on various topics.
